The Declaration of Independence was written in 1776 by inquisitive doubting Thomas Jefferson. The sole purpose was to notify the British that the States was decent an independent nation. Under tabby George iii’s rule, the States was going nowhere. queen George promised Americans so much but neer did anything about it. He did many things without notice and expected everyone to cooperate.
